Create a Connection
Define which records to match and where the result should go.
A Connection brings together two board selections, matching rules, and a primary output. Use a descriptive name so you can recognize its purpose later.
Set up a Connection
- Open LinkBackfill and choose Create a Connection.
- Select the Records to process board.
- Select the Match against board.
- Choose the values and rules that identify matching records.
- Select the Primary output, including its destination column.
- Review the configuration and save the Connection.
For example, a project record might contain a company reference that also exists on a Companies board. A Connection can use that reference to identify the related company.
Check before continuing
Confirm that the records to process and match-against selections are the right way round. Check that the output column is the one you intend to update.
Saving a configuration is not a substitute for checking its results. Continue with Scan & Preview before applying changes.
